Following Caverns & Chasms' Polished Up update, we were really happy with the feedback and excitement, so we are going to continue this format of larger, subtitled updates, starting with Environmental!
Environmental's next big update, subtitled Road Trip, will feature many new biomes, plants, and wildlife. It is in very early development and nowhere near ready for a beta, but we wanted to show you guys what we have so far!

Cedar River
The Cedar River is a new river biome found in cold, coniferous places littered with shrubs, bees, tree lichen, and cedar trees. The cedar trees here are full of tannins, which have stained the water an iridescent brown. The sand here gets quite muddy, and you might notice some of it seems suspicious...

Cedar Swamps
Cedar swamps are another new biome, but a bit more of a work in progress than their river relatives. They're also even muddier, with new muddy podzol. Here's a small peek at how they look thus far. We'll show you more when they're a little more polished!

Muddy Sandstone
Muddy Sand also has its own sandstone, of course, as well as a rather murky glass variant! Additionally, Mud and muddy podzol can also now be turned into paths!

Bog Iron
Bog Iron is a new resource found in the suspicious muddy sand scattered around Cedar Rivers. Breaking its block form can yield more versatile iron nuggets; it can be used directly as a trim material. It pairs nicely with the new Keeper trim, which is also found in the muddy sand.
When a cedar tree grows, it can also convert muddy sand around it to suspicious muddy sand. This sand has a slightly smaller pool since it is renewable, so you won't be stacking up trims, but you can still get things like brown dye and bog iron.

Cedar Wood
As expected, Cedar has a woodset that has all the usual associated blocks and variants, with a lighter plank color that should go nicely with Pine!

Conclusion
We know it is a very early look at just one biome, but we hope you guys are excited for this next major update for Environmental! Road Trip will soon feature variants for existing biomes, creatures for Pine and Cedar biomes, new biome variations of various creatures, and biomes focused on more climates, including colder biomes!
Thank you for supporting us, and we hope you are excited for what comes next for Environmental's Road Trip update and Team Abnormals as a whole!
