Five years ago today, we announced Neapolitan's Flavor Vote... which... well, we have not really followed up on, despite many other mods getting content updates over the past few years. Maybe those flavors went the way of Mojang's votes, lost and forgotten...
Wrong! Introducing Neapolitan's "World of Flavor" update, where not only are we adding the winner of the vote, Bubblegum, but we are also adding Mango and Cinnamon too, capping off Neapolitan's flavors!
Now, you might be asking, "well, doesn't this make that flavor vote pointless?" Well, yes. Whoops. But we figured it was time to get all three of these flavors in the game, it has been way too long!
However, there will be much more to the World of Flavor than just the three new flavors... check it out below!

Despite a large emphasis on the deeply fleshed-out species of Chimpanzees present in the mod, Neapolitan is at its core, an Ice Cream mod, which is why this update will be taking it back to its roots.
Chillbox and Ice Cream
Ice Cream making can be so much more dynamic than it currently is, and that starts with the Chillbox - a new crafting station for making Ice Cream! The Chillbox has three flavor slots, as well as slots for sugar, milk, and storage. It also has a fuel slot, similar to furnaces, which takes ice cubes and all ice blocks.
You can choose to use three different flavors when crafting your Ice Cream, three of the same, or frankly any combination! Using multiple of the same flavor increases the strength and duration of the effect it gives, but you can use different flavors to stack effect combinations.
You may notice that this is ice cream is not in a bowl... you can still make Ice Cream in a bowl, however we have added Waffle Cones to add even more soul and variation to how you can make Ice Cream!

Waffle Cones
Waffle Cones are a new way to make Ice Cream, and with that comes the Waffle Cone block set comes with a block, pillar, and tiles, ideal for creating the perfect giant ice cream cone in your world!

Snow Ice Cream
Pictured alongside the Chillbox in this image are the new generic Ice Cream Block, Ice Cream, and a Snow Cone. These generic versions of Ice Cream are made in the Chillbox with Snowballs. Instead of providing a flavor effect, they increase the food value of the Ice Cream, allowing for more options when choosing how to create your perfect cone!

Storage Blocks
With the introduction of the Chillbox, you will need to keep a lot of sugar and other resources on hand! Most of these already have storage blocks, but we've introduce Sugar Cane Bundles as well as Sugar and Cocoa Bean sacks for more decoration options and storing of important Ice Cream materials!

Mango
Now, starting off the new flavors is Mango! Please note that the three new flavors have only just begun development and are VERY early implementations, but we wanted to show them off early so people can get excited!
As previously shown off in the flavor vote, Mango will be tied to a tree with a new woodset, which is not currently implemented. Mangos will grow on Koa trees, which will be found in Savannas; however, the Koa trees in Savannas will not have Mangos - they will have to be initially found in an upcoming structure, which is still early into concepting. Mango's effect is being toyed with at the moment, but will be mining-based.

Cinnamon
Continuing the trend of unique locations for these last three flavors, as opposed to just an overworld biome, Cinnamon will be found in the Nether, with a fire-based effect that is still a work-in-progress. Cinnamon Stalks will be found in lava and will be found alongside Cinnamon Stick Bugs! Cinnamon can be made into Cinnamon Rolls, as well as the best item in the mod, Cinnamon Bagels!

Bubblegum
And of course, the winner of the Flavor Vote - BUBBLEGUM! Bubblegum will be found hanging beneath the End islands, and is the most fully concepted. Eating Bubblegum will put the player in a Bubblegum Ball, like a Zorb Ball, which is a mobility item the player can roll around in!
The fruity flavors from Neapolitan can be combined with Bubblegum to make various types, that will give various effects to how the Bubblegum Ball works. Plain Bubblegum is the fastest, Banana Bubblegum allows the ball to stick to walls and ceilings, Strawberry heals the player inside the ball, etc. Bubblegum should be quite fun to mess around with!

Conclusion
That is all we currently have to reveal for Neapolitan's World of Flavor update, but there will be much more to come.
There are major plans for other big features, as well as reworks to flavors like Mint and Adzuki that are long overdue for mechanical or visual updates. We are working hard to finalize the feature concepts implementations for this update, and we hope to have more information for you all soon! This update will be coming to 1.21.1+ when it is ready.
Since these features are so early, there will not be a beta for World of Flavor for a while still, but stay tuned for more info! Thank you for all the support over the years, and an extra big thank you for the patience in waiting for these flavors for five years!
